REVIVE participates to HECTOR Final Conference in Aberdeen
REVIVE partners joined the HECTOR Final Conference on 25th October 2023, hosted by Aberdeen City Council. HECTOR, a part-EU funded project supported by Interreg North West Europe, has advanced the state of fuel cell refuse trucks by deploying and testing the technology in several pilot sites across Europe. HECTOR and REVIVE partners attended the conference, celebrating achievements and progress as the HECTOR project concludes. Also attended by other key stakeholder in the industry who are observers of both projects, the conference was an opportunity to share experiences, best practice and lessons learned across the lifetime of the projects.
Groningen Municipality and Prezero, partners in both REVIVE and HECTOR, gave case studies of the fuel cell refuse truck deployments in each of their sites, ERM presented an overview of REVIVE including progress and results gathered to date, and Powercell joined for an overview of the key developments at the REVIVE Gothenburg site. Participants discussed the current state of the technology and the sector, including some of the main issues faced and common themes emerging from HECTOR and REVIVE as two early European deployment projects.
HECTOR and REVIVE partners attend HECTOR Final Conference
Following the HECTOR Final Conference, REVIVE and HECTOR jointly attended the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association Annual Conference 2023. HECTOR and REVIVE were exhibitors at the conference, sharing information about the projects, the technology, and the progress made in the industry to date, with over 300 delegates at the event from organisations across the hydrogen value chain.
The REVIVE and HECTOR projects signed a letter of cooperation in December 2019, along with the LIFE ‘N Grab HY! project (now concluded). Since then, the projects have collaborated to share knowledge, experiences and jointly communicate to spread awareness of the technology. Following the end of the HECTOR project, REVIVE will continue to engage with HECTOR partners to share operational learnings as the trucks are used in each city.
