Trucks
2 hydrogen refuse trucks are being deployed, as rear-end loader trucks for municipal waste collection in 8 municipalities.

Location
The trucks are in operation in the region of Veldhoven, in the south east of the Netherlands and Arnhem. Previously these vehicels were driven in Helmond, where the trucks used the WaterstofNet hydrogen refuelling station (HRS). When the HRS was acquired and moved by Total Energies, the trucks started operating in Veldhoven and Arnhem.

The trucks are in operation as of mid February 2021, and are expected to be in operation for at least 10 years.

Local partner
PreZero is participating in REVIVE to experience the operation of hydrogen refuse trucks and to operate these trucks, as a way to demonstrate the viability of hydrogen as an alternative to current drivelines on fossil fuels.
