Consortium meeting at E-Trucks

The partners of the REVIVE project held a full consortium meeting on June 5th 2019 at the E-Trucks factory in Lommel, Belgium. The meeting addressed the latest news on the integration of the fuel cell systems in the E-Trucks vehicles and the ongoing certification work.

The city partners also provided updates on the procurement process to buy or lease the vehicles themselves, as well as the preparation of hydrogen refuelling stations to support the vehicles once in service. At the end of the meeting all partners had the opportunity to visit the E-Trucks workshops, where work has already begun on the first trucks to be deployed in the project. E-Trucks has built a brand new production facility in Lommel, which was put into use by the end of 2018. From 2020 onwards, it will be able to produce 50 hydrogen fuel cell refuse trucks per year.
Representatives from E-Trucks were available to answer questions from the cities about the truck design and its performance, and give a first look at the vehicles that will begin providing sustainable, quite waste collection to European citizens by the end of the year.
